Moving and a New Gaming Setup!

The past two months have been a fairly busy one in the household, as part of the title says it all. My fiancé and I moved out of our first apartment over a week ago and moved closer to the Philadelphia area. The reason for it is because I accepted a job offer in Philadelphia, at which it definitely required us to live closer, or else I would’ve been commuting for 2+ hours each way. It’s a big step for both of us as we just moved away from our families, but it’s a step in the right direction for our future. There’s a lot more opportunities for us here, and a change of scenery for us which can be a good thing.

We finally got settled into the new place a few weeks ago, and I feel like I can finally just sit down and write again. After moving, I don’t want to think about doing that again for a very long time. I really don’t know how, but our new apartment is twice the size (maybe three times) than our previous apartment, and we somehow have too much stuff for our new place. Definitely an exaggeration, but our office/game room could use some work around as our odds and ends kind of ended up in that room. It definitely feels a lot more like home to me now, and we’re back to the swing of things now.

New gaming setup!

As much as I miss the old apartment, I’m just happy that we finally have much bigger space now, that I can finally have a room where I can game that is not in the living room/kitchen like our old place. I wish I still had the picture of where I used to game, which I definitely made it work, but now it’s a much more organized setup here. The TV is an older model, so it only has 2 HDMI ports which turns into the Bachelor with my consoles on what ones being plugged into my TV at that time. Once I get my TV stand for my other TV (lost the legs to it, and was previously wall mounted), I’ll be moving my Xbox to there as it’s the best TV for my One X.

I’m making this blog post a short and sweet one, as I could ramble on about many things from this experience so far (new internet, dog troubles, etc). But it can also be because of this rut I’m in when it comes to writing. I do have ideas on what I want to write about, so maybe the topic can be why I’m not finding the words to put down on here. I’m just glad to get at least something out on here, because I really enjoy putting my thoughts down into words for others to read. Just the life change that just happened also kind of set back some motivation for me. Thanks again for all the taking the time to read this post, and I look forward to sitting down again to write some more!
